I love bugs, and frogs, and spiders and many things that crawl. I began photographing them more seriously when my son started having an intense interest in them. It is something we enjoy together, and use photography to learn more about what we find. I should also say that my daughter loves bugs, as long as they don't fly, which is been problematic since most insects fly. The images represented here were all taken in the cloud forest of Ecuador surrounding Francis Marion University's biological station. I have not yet discovered how to incorporate these images into my fine art photography work, so it is a work in progress. This body of work was made possible by a Francis Marion University's Professional Develop Grant.
